Hauntings Creeps Into 2024

Since 1991, Loudoun Museum staff and volunteers have helped thousands discover the real nightlife of Leesburg, Virginia. Hauntings takes guests on an 80-minute evening walking tour through the historic streets of downtown, telling stories about notable buildings, cemeteries, and their past inhabitants – some highly ghostly in nature. Hauntings is one of the largest annual fundraisers for the Loudoun Museum and proceeds support new exhibitions, collaborative programs with local businesses and non-profits, guest lecturers, educational programming, and community events.

Join us for our annual Hauntings walking tour through historic Leesburg, VA. This year, we’re resurrecting old stops and adding chilling new stories. Stops include the Historic Loudoun County Courthouse, Old Stone Church site, St. James Episcopal Cemetery, and the Johnston House. Departing from the Loudoun Museum you'll discover lingering ghosts, deadly duels, poisonous deeds, and historic tales that you won't soon forget!
